Intarsia

As part of my knitting new year's resolutions, I want to learn new skills I do not currently have: cabling, intarsia, fair isle (maybe), entrelac (maybe). So my first project was this intarsia skull and crossbones.

It was going to be the first square in my Zephren's Skull Blanket, but this was HARD and time-consuming, mainly because the chenille did not flow off of my needles, so I don't think I'll be making the blanket anytime soon... or at least not with the yarn I bought for it.

I think I'm going to make a throw pillow out of it, and give it to a Pirates of the Caribbean-obsessed friend.
